The University of Saskatchewan Programming Contest is a local, fun competition that pits students from teams from local academic institutions and industry against each other and the quiz-masters, in a friendly contest that is meant to test the competitor's skills in problem solving and programming. All levels of skill are welcome!
This contest is a not sanctioned by the ACM. For information on the ACM Regional Programming Contest, please see the Regional Programming Contest page.
2009 Fall Programming Contest Results
06 October 2009The Department of Computer Science would like to thank all participants and sponsors for making fall 2009 programming competition a success. 12 teams in 3 categories hunkered down to make our local programming contest one of the best ever. For the first time, there were three one-student teams who dominated the competition and won prizes in Novice and Advanced categories.
The standings have been posted in the contest page. Contest problems should be added "Real Soon Now".

Remember, you can pre-register your team of up to three programmers early at programmingcontest.usask.ca/registration, or just come out to the contest on Saturday (October 3rd) and register then!
Fall 2009 International Collegiate Programming Contest
23 September 2009The Department of Computer Science will be hosting the local 2009 Fall Preliminary of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009.
The contest will be held on third floor spinks (Thorv S320). Registration will begin at 9:00, and the contest will run from 9:30 until the prize ceremony at 3:15. Teams will consist of up to three programmers. A free lunch of pizza and pop will be provided for all competitors. Prizes will be awarded as well. For more information, see the contest page.

All University of Saskatchewan and SIAST Students are welcome to compete in the Novice and Advanced categories, and anyone is welcome to compete in the Open category.
